The UCLA Luskin Institute on Inequality and Democracy is pleased to present author and journalist Naomi Klein, Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia, who will deliver the third annual Distinguished Lecture in Ideas and Organizing on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, 6:30-8:00pm PT entitled, Fascism or Eco-populism - Our Stark Choice. Join us for this in-person program at UCLA that will inspire us to think about climate justice in relation to the political economy of global warfare and imperialism.
Bio:
Naomi Klein is an award-winning journalist and New York Times bestselling author. She is a columnist with The Guardian. In 2018 she was named the inaugural Gloria Steinem Endowed Chair at Rutgers University and is now Honorary Professor of Media and Climate at Rutgers. In September 2021 she joined the University of British Columbia as UBC Professor of Climate Justice (tenured) and co-director of the Centre for Climate Justice.
